Yooralla, Victoria’s oldest and largest disability service provider has partnered with the Fitzroy Victoria Bowling Club and the Rotary Club of Fitzroy to create a family-friendly bowls tournament to raise awareness and funds for disability.
The inaugural YoorallaBOWL competition will be played on Sunday, March 18th, 2012 at Fitzroy Victoria Bowling Club, 578 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy North. Registration starts at 9.30am with competition to kick off at 10.00am. The team-based competition of four members per team is open to everyone irrespective of their age, gender or ability.
The cost to enter YoorallaBOWL is $50 per player for general entry or $15 if the player is on a Disability Support Pension. Of this amount, $20 (from general entries) is a donation to Yooralla with the balance helping to cover the costs of the day.
Each member of the winning team will receive $500 from the major sponsor, the Clifton Hill/North Fitzroy branch of Bendigo Bank. There will be other prizes for highest fundraiser and best themed team and a host of spot prizes for players and spectators.
