Team Henselite's Mark Casey has called time on his stellar career representing Australia in international bowls after two Silver Medals at World Bowls 2016. Mark is retiring from international bowls to spend more time on his role in coordinating the Lawn Bowls at the Commonwealth Games 2018.
“I feel extremely honoured to have been able to compete for Australia on 293 occasions," Mark said. "I have shared so many wonderful highlights, and I thank every teammate I have had along the way."
Some of those highlights include Gold Medals at the Commonwealth Games in 2006 and World Championships in 2012. He's also won the Australian Open singles title and countless State and Club titles.
"On a personal note, I would like to thank Henselite for their amazing support of me during my entire career."
"I am looking forward to working with the Commonwealth Games, I will be working hard to help deliver a fantastic competition for the bowlers involved. And of course, I am really looking forward to spending some extra time at home with my beautiful family”
Thanks for the memories, Mark, we wish you all the best.
